FutureLED showcases video walls that automatically slide out and fold out – The casing also serves as a transport box with minimal packing dimensions
Munich, March 24, 2025 – The FutureLED Transformer series is rightly reminiscent of the cult science fiction series with the transformable Autobots around Optimus Prime and Co.: the screen slides up from a stable roll box by remote control and, like an altarpiece, folds out even more seamless screen surfaces on the left and right. In less than a minute, a uniform, brilliant monitor surface is available. When the LED wall is not needed, it folds up and is inconspicuously stored in the compact metal housing, which is also a full-fledged transport box on wheels. The Transformer video walls from FutureLED are available now from VAD Concept International in various pixel resolutions.
With the Transformer series, FutureLED is introducing an innovative solution for anyone who needs a brilliant, bright and, above all, large presentation area that can be used daily in different locations and stowed away to save space when not in use – even in passenger elevators. FutureLED has primarily thought of educational institutions, hotels, rental services and exhibitors.
The video wall combines an extendable display area with a base and a housing that also serves as a fully functional flight case. This means that it can be transported from the lecture hall or the trade fair to the elevator, to the plane or to the car in a robust package, and simply plugged in at the next location and extended to the desired size via remote control. When folded up, the LED wall has a 136-inch screen diagonal (over 345 cm), a base area of 205 × 52 cm and weighs just 550 kilograms, making it easy to maneuver.
Brilliant image quality even in bright rooms
The Transformer series delivers exceptional image quality across all sizes, offering a brightness of 1,000 candela per square meter (cd/m²) for optimal visibility in daylight. With an efficient power consumption range of 600 to 1,200 watts and a pixel pitch that spans from 1.5 mm to 0.75 mm, it provides outstanding performance. Additionally, the color brilliance is enhanced by a wide range of gray tones, from the deepest black to pure white. This makes the Transformer series suitable for use in bright rooms and it also copes well with harsh shadows.
Flexibility and special formats
There are three standard monitor sizes (110, 130 and 136 inches screen diagonal), but up to 165 inches are possible on request. The resolution ranges from FHD (1920 x 1080) to 4K (3840 x 2160). Here, too, special formats are not a problem; FutureLED offers any desired resolution individually.
A touch overlay is optionally available, which makes the entire screen surface interactive and thus also suitable for workshops or in schools. In addition, the housing colors black, white, olive green and anthracite are available to blend harmoniously into any environment. Alternatively, logos or other individual designs can of course also be realized using foiling.
Likewise, the choice of LED module technology is also up to you:
- traditional SMDs (Surface Mount Device) have a very high color brilliance, but with a more sensitive surface, since they do without a protective substrate layer
- the current, uniformly luminous and stable COBs (Chip-On-Board) with a non-sensitive surface, which correspond to the current state of the art, or
- GOB (Glue-On-Board) with an extremely resistant screen surface with slightly lower light output
Operation and connectivity
Plug it in and press a button on the remote control – that’s all the installation work required for the Transformer. Ports such as HDMI, USB, RJ45 and WLAN ensure maximum connectivity. Content can be shared via whiteboard PCs, screen sharing receivers or USB sticks.
Prices and service for the FutureLED Transformer series
The FutureLED Transformer series is now available exclusively from Concept International; prices on request. Special conditions apply for system integrators and resellers. The standard two-year warranty can optionally be extended to five years. Vandalism insurance is also available on request, which can quickly pay for itself, especially in educational institutions.
