At “Embedded World 2025” in Nuremberg (March 11-13), the Munich-based value-added distributor will be showcasing hardware for extreme applications together with Giada

Munich, February 14, 2025 – When the international embedded community meets in Nuremberg for the annual Embedded World trade show from March 11 to 13, 2025, Concept International will be there. This year, the Munich-based value-added distributor will be showcasing not only the steam-jet-proof IK series of its own-brand FuturePPC panel PC and new rugged tablets from DT Research in Hall 3, Booth 444, but also, in particular, innovative PC solutions from the digital signage specialist Giada, which now has more cost-effective and high-quality alternatives for price-sensitive industrial projects in its portfolio.

The Giada AF208 is a powerful embedded PC that works reliably in demanding industrial environments, even with extreme temperature fluctuations and unstable power supplies. It is recommended, for example, for monitoring production lines, controlling machines and product systems, and for automation projects. The AF208 can easily withstand temperatures from minus 20°C to plus 60°C and supports an input voltage of 12 to 24V. Its fanless design ensures quiet, energy-efficient operation and reduces the risk of mechanical failure.

It is powered by Intel’s latest Alder Lake-N processor N97 with quad-core 3.6 GHz. The AF208 ensures smooth, high-quality 4K media playback on two display outputs. The AF208 offers flexibility for connection requirements with multiple I/O options and a 10-pin GPI interface and Phoenix® jacks. Like all Giada embedded computing products, the robust AF208 features JAHC (JIEHE Active Hardware Control) for energy saving and remote monitoring, including automatic power-on, RTC wake-up and watchdog timers.

Ultra-compact, industrial Giada Raspberry Pi PCs for continuous operation

For long-lasting and reliable 24/7 operation in a wide range of industrial applications, wherever space is limited, Concept International will be showing the Giada industrial PCs DN24 and DN25 in Nuremberg. The ultra-compact IPCs, based on the Raspberry Pi Compute modules CM4 and CM5, are perfectly suited as edge IoT devices for collecting and processing sensor data or as mini human-machine interfaces, and have a quad-core Cortex-A76 processor with up to 2.4 GHz (CM5) or a Cortex-A72 with 1.6 GHz (CM4) from Broadcom.

Both devices support the integrated dual-channel LPDDR4 memory as well as storage in the eMMC standard. Both modules are available in every conceivable RAM and storage combination. The Raspberry CM5-based embedded PC features an improved VideoCore VII GPU and offers good video performance via two HDMI 2.0 video outputs (up to 4Kp60). They are designed for stable 24/7 operation and offer reliable performance for more than two years without interruption.

Flexible Giada Booksize PC that integrates easily anywhere

Giada designed the F109D booksize PC specifically for digital signage and kiosk applications. However, it also works reliably in industrial environments, for example, for controlling complex machine lines or for data processing. The slim embedded PC is available from Concept International with either an Intel N97 CPU or N150 CPU, whereby the N97 has a slightly more powerful graphics unit – while the N150 stays particularly cool, with higher CPU performance.

A wide range of I/O ports are another advantage: including two COM ports, six USB Type-A ports and two LAN ports. This makes it easy to integrate into vending machines, self-service and check-in kiosks. The DS player features one DP and two HDMI ports. The fanless design with a passive thermal cooling system reduces the failure rate to a minimum and allows the device to run silently and dustproof.

New DT Research rugged tablet series with hot-swappable batteries

In addition to its Giada highlights, Concept International is also bringing the latest RP series from DT Research to Nuremberg, featuring the powerful rugged tablet trio 302RP, 312RP and 323RP. They come with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 and 5G support. Like their predecessors, the YR tablet series, the 2-in-1 devices are particularly robust as a mobile alternative to fixed panel PCs and laptops and are therefore ideal for use in industry, logistics, in the open field or in medicine.

The tablets are available with the currently most powerful 13th generation Intel Core i CPU “Raptor Lake” and a memory of 256 GB to 2 TB. The hot-swappable battery with 45 Wh (optionally 60 or 90 Wh) ensures runtimes of up to seven or 14 hours. For seamless operation without interruption, the battery can be easily replaced during operation. The special feature that DT-Research rugged tablets are available in small quantities with a high degree of functional customization also applies to the new series. Batteries and accessories from all other series can also be used.

6-inch Windows handhelds for industry and logistics

With the 6-inch D-Series handhelds 362DN and 362DH from DT-Research, Concept International is showcasing the latest solution for Windows-based mobile handheld computers. They are mainly used in logistics, warehousing and industry 4.0, as well as in the hospitality sector. An RFID reader (optionally UHF) can read objects contactless from a distance of up to 10 meters. Barcode scanner and GNSS module can be added.

The DN version works with an Intel N200 quad-core processor with 3.8 GHz, which is sufficient for the use of simpler Windows apps. Equipped with a more powerful Intel Core i3-N300 CPU with eight cores, the DH version is also suitable for more complex industrial analytics requirements. Rugged mini tablets are certified to protection class IP65, have WiFi and Bluetooth built in, as well as an integrated chip card reader for user authentication. Both devices have a hot-swappable battery that can be changed during operation.

The IK series from FuturePPC is extremely tough

For extreme situations in outdoor use, Concept International has panel PCs from the IK series of its own brand FuturePPC in its range: the human-machine interface displays are IP69K and IK07 certified, completely dustproof and steam-jet protected, and can also withstand possible vandalism. Thanks to optical bonding and 1,000 cd/m² brightness, they are easy to read even in sunlight. They are ideal for installation in control cabinets in food production and are available in both an aluminum and a stainless steel version.

Concept International with on-site service – to be discovered at Embedded World 2025

The embedded PC specialists from Concept International can be found in cooperation with Giada in hall 3, booth 444, where they will also be presenting the VAD’s new Germany-wide on-site service for all Giada devices and their own brand at Embedded World 2025. The Munich-based company’s service always includes a three-year warranty, which can optionally be extended to five years. On request, Concept International will take over the roll-out of projects as part of its total preparation service and offers project-specific configurations.
