The new Giada BQ614 is a mini PC with a 14th generation socketed desktop CPU and is fully geared towards performance thanks to DDR5 memory. It is a strong option for demanding digital signage applications in retail and hospitality as well as for control systems in industry and production. Its attack detection is unique – making it reliable for use in particularly security-relevant areas. Munich-based VAD Concept International now has this powerful all-rounder in its range.

The Giada BQ614 has an effective warning system for physical attacks on the device: if the computer cover is opened without authorization, the computer records the attack in the BIOS, reports the process to a network management system and warns the user the next time it is started. This ensures increased security. In addition, Giada JAHC technology with integrated watchdog components, including an automatic reboot system that intervenes in the event of software problems, and a real-time clock that enables the system to be started up and shut down at fixed times of day and night. This ensures absolutely reliable 24/7 availability.

Equipped for AI use

A decisive advantage of the Giada BQ614 over its predecessors is the LGA 1700 socket: thanks to the socketed instead of soldered CPU, i3, i5 or i7 processors of the 12th, 13th and 14th generation can be used as required. In addition, there is the fast and powerful working memory with DDR5-5600 MHz and up to 96 GB RAM. The operating system is Microsoft Windows 11 or Linux Ubuntu.

Seven USB and two LAN ports

The Giada BQ614 offers numerous I/O connections: seven USB ports allow great flexibility, two LAN connections (1GbE and 2.5 GbE) ensure increased security, as the intranet and the public network can be clearly separated from each other. With the latest 7th generation Intel UHD graphics (770 or 730), the mini PC supports three displays via HDMI 2.0a, DisplayPort 1.4 or the optional VGA connection. The USB Type-C port also offers a DP1.4 signal, which enables a resolution of up to 8K for video walls and performance-hungry apps.

Concept International offers a range of options for the Giada BQ614, including Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7. With its metal housing (200 x 185 x 35.5 mm), the mini PC can be installed horizontally or upright with a stand or flexibly mounted using a VESA wall bracket and is suitable for operation at temperatures from 0 to 45 degrees Celsius.

Prices and service

The Giada BQ614 is now available from value-added distributor Concept International. The price depends on the configuration, with the standard configuration (with RAM, SSD and operating system) starting at 820 euros (list price) and the recommended minimum configuration, for example, at 1070 euros (list price). System integrators usually receive the proven Total Preparation Service free of charge, with which the PC is configured individually and project-specifically – for example with pre-installed software – even for large quantities. As an option, Concept International offers an extended warranty of up to five years instead of the usual two years. In addition, as with all Concept Future own-brand hardware, the Germany-wide on-site service can be booked for the devices.
