The new Sunmi M3 handheld cash register is a particularly smart mobile terminal weighing just 272 grams, yet robust enough to optimize the daily workflows of service staff throughout the entire route. From seating guests and taking orders to cashless payments directly at the table and closing out at the end of the day, the Sunmi M3 handles multitasking requirements smoothly, quickly, and reliably, even during hectic peak times in the restaurant business.
This is made possible by a powerful octa-core processor inside the handheld device, combined with the latest UFS memory technology: the Sunmi M3 can run multiple software programs simultaneously without any loss of performance, and can seamlessly start the next process while the order taken is immediately printed out in the kitchen.
No more dead spots on the terrace and in the beer garden
The Sunmi M3 can also be used outdoors on the restaurant terrace or in the spacious beer garden: Sunmi Hyper WiFi technology with intelligent WLAN switching extends the range of the router to up to one kilometer. The signals penetrate even thick walls, and performance remains high and stable even when a large number of devices are using the WLAN at the same time. “With the Sunmi M3, there are practically no more dead spots,” says Mike Finckh, managing director of Munich-based VAD Concept International, which has the new smart Sunmi cash register in its product range. By comparison, standard routers typically only provide Wi-Fi coverage of just under 100 meters outdoors, while other repeaters for outdoor dining areas can reach up to 500 meters, which is only half as much as the M3 with Sunmi technology.
A reliable companion throughout your entire shift
The 6.75-inch HD+ touch display provides a detailed and user-friendly view of menus and ordering systems, and cashless SoftPOS payment via NFC is integrated into the display. The position sensor on the screen enables fast and secure payment transactions without having to rotate the device. Service staff can easily carry the mobile multitasker, which weighs only 272 grams, throughout their entire shift using the wrist strap or shoulder strap like a crossbody bag, and don’t have to worry about running out of power prematurely: The 5000 mAh battery ensures reliability, lasts up to two days, and can be quickly and easily replaced for charging.
The robust design of the magnesium-aluminum housing with Gorilla Glass is IP65 certified. This means that the Sumni M3 is tested to be resistant to dust, liquids, and drops. This means that even in a hectic working day, it can fall onto hard terracotta floors or even into the sink without suffering serious damage, and is fully operational at temperatures ranging from minus 20 degrees to plus 55 degrees Celsius.
Technical specifications
The heart of the Sumni M3 is an octa-core CPU with up to 2.2 GHz, 3 GB RAM (optional 4 GB), and 32 GB ROM/SSD storage (optional 64 GB). The operating system is Sumni OS 4.0 based on Android 14.
