The FutureLED Jazz series is an extremely robust eye-catcher in pedestrian zones, at airports or in public transport and it is available as a double-sided version for open spaces.
Munich, December 19, 2024 – From now on, Jazz can be enjoyed not only with the ears, but also with the eyes: this is proven by the LED steles of the same name from the German manufacturer FutureLED: The Jazz series was designed for outdoor use with a brightness of 4,000 candelas, but also looks good indoors – with the new flip-chip technology with significantly reduced power consumption. It also shines in a double-sided version. The FutureLED Jazz series is available in sizes from 57 to 85 inches. It is now available from the Munich-based VAD Concept International.
The new FutureLED Jazz series combines elegance, technical sophistication and durability with high-quality workmanship to create a stylish and versatile product.
Brilliant images in any weather, safely packed behind gorilla glass
It starts with the razor-sharp displays, which are perfect for outdoor use with 4,000 candela. Thanks to brightness control via the integrated light sensor, the screens adjust optimally to the lighting conditions – whether rainy nights or bright sunshine. Enormous color contrast of 30,000 to 1 comes into its own here, skillfully setting the scene for any content. So-called “black-face pixels,” in which the front of the LEDs are tinted black, are partly responsible for this, without requiring the usual loss of brightness. An unusually wide gray scale of 22 bits and more does the rest to offer the eye exceptionally impressive images – and at a viewing angle of 170 degrees. Pixel pitch ranges from 1.2 to 1.9 to 3.1 mm and, depending on the application scenario, allows a minimum distance of one to ten meters for high-quality image impressions.
The displays are protected by 6 mm Gorilla Glass, which is four times harder than normal glass, and thus not only withstands wind and weather, but also mechanical damage of all kinds. This is a must, especially for outdoor use, when the steles are used at bus stops or in pedestrian zones, where people can bump into them or backpacks and shopping trolleys can scrape along them. Speaking of resilience: with a temperature range of -20 degrees to +60 degrees, the Jazz series also copes well with weather-related challenges. Wind, rain, snow or fog are no problem for the LED steles.
Five display sizes within the FutureLED Jazz for maximum flexibility
Depending on the display size, the steles are between 2.1 and 2.7 m in height, 1.08 to 1.48 m in width and a slim 26 cm in depth, even for the double-sided steles. The standard screen sizes vary from 57, 67, 77, 81 to 85 inches. On request, 96-inch and larger screens are also available in sufficient quantities. Weighing between 200 and 330 kg per column, Jazz is clearly a heavyweight contender, and one that scores well in this category. Its weight makes the series more robust and less susceptible to vandalism and theft.
Snap-in panels and two power supplies ensure continuous operation
Like all FutureLED series, Jazz is hot-swappable, which means that the practical snap-in panels can be easily replaced via magnetic holders during operation without much effort. This saves time and resources because entire displays no longer need to be replaced. Replacement modules are included in the scope of delivery.
After a panel change, the built-in controller automatically calibrates the new tile in the same color range and brightness, so that it is not noticeable in the surface. As a result, you can no longer see whether and which panel has been replaced.
Two power supply units are installed as standard in each stele. If one fails, the other immediately switches on to ensure uninterrupted operation. The so-called signal redundancy functions in the same way. Here, too, you can think of it as a kind of second battery that ensures that the signal and thus the playback of the content does not stop.
Up to 40 percent less power consumption thanks to flip-chip process
The Jazz series is the first of its kind to be equipped with the new flip-chip technology. This means that the top and bottom of the individual LED chip are reversed. This reduces power consumption. Savings of up to 40 percent are possible compared to conventionally installed chips. In addition, the “flip” makes production significantly cheaper and also offers lower thermal power dissipation – the panels do not get as hot. This has a particularly positive effect on durability when the panels are exposed to direct sunlight.
Warranty and service for the FutureLED Jazz series
Prices for the new Jazz series are available on request. The two-year warranty (optionally five years) and simple processing are part of the service. If desired, additional vandalism insurance can be taken out.
