Powerful Giada DN84 with Rockchip RK3576 Processor

The Giada DN84 embedded PC is ideal for demanding digital signage applications, such as large LED walls in shopping malls or the premium retail segment, and for the smooth playback of 3D content. It also enables AI-based image analysis for real-time quality control in industrial settings or intelligent image and data processing in retail and event applications—such as visitor flow counting or interactive kiosk systems—all of which are GDPR-compliant thanks to local data processing that does not require cloud usage. The integrated NPU also enables smart noise cancellation for microphones—for example, in kiosk systems—which filters out background noise in real time.

Despite its powerful performance, the player has compact dimensions (165 x 108 x 40 mm) and operates fanlessly with minimal maintenance thanks to its heat sinks. Inside, it features a high-performance Rockchip RK3576 octa-core ARM processor with 4 Cortex-A72 cores and 4 Cortex-A53 cores, as well as a Rockchip Mali-G52MC3 GPU. With its integrated 6-TOPS NPU, the embedded PC delivers high AI performance right on the device. Up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage are available. Android 14 and Linux Debian 12 are available as operating systems. In addition, Giada is working on a Linux Yocto implementation, which will be available in the future and will support over-the-air updates and device management for embedded systems.

To support simultaneous operation of two displays, the DN84 features one HDMI output for UHD (max. 3840 x 2160 @60 Hz) and one for WQXGA (max. 2560 x 1600 @60 Hz). In the DN84-A model variant, the PC offers an additional HDMI input for processing a video input signal for picture-in-picture display or for switching between an external video signal and a content stream directly on the screen. In the DN84-I model variant, the player enables real-time upscaling of low-resolution videos. The DN84 offers flexible connectivity with three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one USB 2.0 (OTG) port, one RS-232 serial port, or optionally one RS-232 and two RS-485 ports, LAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an SIM slot for 3G/4G, and a 2-in-1 headset jack. In addition, Giada is working on a version of the device with a PoE (Power over Ethernet) port, which enables power delivery directly via the network cable.

The ultra-compact, high-value Giada DN83 with an RK3528A processor

The ultra-compact, fanless entry-level player Giada DN83 (116 x 106 x 30 mm) offers reliable, smooth performance at a competitive price, making it ideal for high-volume digital signage applications, such as in the retail sector for companies with many branches or at gas stations.

The DN83 is equipped with a Rockchip RK3528A quad-core Cortex-A53 processor and a Rockchip Mali-450MP2 GPU, and features an HDMI port for QHD output. The ARM-based player is available with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, with an optional 64 GB configuration. Android 13 and Linux Debian 11 are available as operating systems; Giada is also working on a Linux Yocto implementation for the DN83.

Connectivity options include a LAN port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a SIM slot for 3G/4G. The player also features one USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, one USB 2.0 (OTG) port, two USB 2.0 ports, one RS-232 serial port, and a 2-in-1 headset jack.

The Giada DN84 is available through Concept International starting at a list price of 265 euros (net), and the Giada DN83 starting at a list price of 168 euros (net). System integrators typically receive the proven Total Preparation Service free of charge, in which PCs are configured individually and project-specifically—for example, with pre-installed software—even for large quantities.
