DT Research’s rugged tablets are built for challenging use in industry, the military, emergency services, and medicine. They are used wherever particularly robust, mobile, and powerful PCs are required, even in wind and weather. If a tablet does break, reliable and fast help and replacement are needed. That’s why Munich-based VAD Concept International now offers “Concept Care,” a comprehensive insurance policy for its DT Research devices, which is particularly useful for large-volume purchases and public tenders and can be combined with a Germany-wide 48-hour on-site service.

DT Research tablets are often used in rough and demanding environments: in industry, for example, the PCs are used directly on production lines to control machine components and record maintenance schedules. In emergency services, paramedics use them to document the vital signs of accident victims at the scene and transmit the data directly to the emergency room at the hospital. In everyday hospital life, DT Medical tablets can be used to access lab results, medication, and MRI images from digital patient files directly in the operating room.

With “Concept Care,” the Munich-based value-added distributor now offers a protection package for rugged and medical tablets from DT Research that consists of three components:

  • Warranty extensions: Concept International extends the statutory warranty for all DT Research devices from 2 to 3 years in the event of design, material, aging, and manufacturing defects, generally included for every DT Research tablet. Further warranty extensions of up to 5 years are available at an additional cost (4 years: 4 percent, 5 years: 8 percent).
  • On-site service: With its on-site service, Concept International guarantees that in the event of a hardware failure, technicians will be on their way within 48 hours to repair or replace a defective device. The service is available throughout Germany, whether in an industrial hall in the south of Munich or in a clinic in Flensburg. The costs for the service are staggered (2 years: $39, 3 years: €49, 5 years: €69). The on-site service should run for as long as the warranty.
  • Comprehensive insurance: If the rugged tablets are damaged by vandalism, falls, power surges, water, operating errors, or other external influences, the new comprehensive insurance now also covers damage beyond the two-year warranty period. Here, too, there is a sliding scale of up to five years (3 years: 30 percent, 4 years: 44 percent, 5 years: 58 percent).

The combinations of the three components can be customized, for example, according to the specifications of public tenders. Together with its Total Preparation Service, Munich-based VAD Concept International offers comprehensive support for all DT Research devices with “Concept Care.”
