Munich, July 27, 2022 – Munich-based value-added distributor Concept International is introducing the Sunmi V2s, a new, highly robust handheld POS system, to its warehouse. The V2s impresses with an integrated 58 mm high-speed printer that manages 80 mm per second as well as 1D and 2D barcode scanners. A quad-core processor with 2 GHz clock frequency from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon family and a working memory module with 2 GB RAM ensure speedy work. The 2 MP front-facing camera can be used for user authentication via facial recognition. A 5 MP rear camera provides sharp pictures for documentation purposes, for example. The printer can print both classic receipts and labels. This makes the POS system a reliable helper not only in retail and catering, but also in warehousing. The handheld POS system can be ordered immediately from Concept International.
With dimensions of 80 mm x 219.1 mm x 17.8 mm and a 5.5-inch display, the Sunmi V2s is large enough for information to be easily seen on the screen, but despite this “size” it sits comfortably in the hand. With a weight of 417 grams, the handheld does not weigh you down. The display resolves images and data tables with 1440 x 720 pixels. The IPS display ensures high-contrast representations – important in particularly bright or dark lighting conditions, for example.
The integrated memory holds 16 GB of data and can be expanded via micro-SD card. The 27 Wh battery supplies the V2s with energy for up to 14 hours. Rubberized edges, rubber closures on openings and a solid build protect the device from dust, moisture and drop damage from up to 1.20 meters. On the software side, the Sunmi V2s runs the Android 11-based Sunmi OS, making it fully compatible with all modern, Android-based POS software solutions.
Connectivity is provided by an integrated 4G modem and nano SIM slot, a 2.4 and 5 GHz Wifi module, and a Bluetooth 4.2 interface that also supports Bluetooth Low Energy. In addition, the V2s receives GPS data and can, for example, add location stamps to photos or warehouse data for documentation purposes. The Technical Security Equipment (TSE), i.e. the audit-proof storage of transaction data for control by the financial authorities, is implemented via the cloud.
An NFC interface enables secure authentication using Mifare and Co.
Availability and service for resellers
The Sunmi V2s is available now exclusively from Concept International. The recommended retail price starts at 250 euros net. Upon request, Concept offers resellers – in cooperation with specialized technology partners – the delivery of the POS systems with individually assembled Android POS software. System integrators also benefit from the “Sunmi Cloud” management tool, which can be used to easily import software updates and new applications into the devices in operation. The management and maintenance of the POS systems can thus be easily implemented and ensure optimal customer support.
