The Sunmi D2s KDS kitchen display is primarily intended as a digital display for kitchen orders in the catering industry. However, with its solid workmanship, it is also suitable as a cost-effective customer screen or even as a simple cash register – for example in kiosks. With the VESA bracket, it can be mounted on mobile support arms or on the wall for everyday use. The order display is now available from VAD Concept International.

The Kitchen Display (KDS) shortens walking distances for staff in small and large catering establishments. Paperless orders arrive in the kitchen immediately as order receipts in the correct order and are already being processed – while the waiter or waitress has not even left the table.

Robust technology for everyday kitchen use

The 15.6-inch capacitive multi-touch monitor also works with wet hands or gloves. The encapsulated housing is easy to clean and resists heat, moisture, grease and other contaminants. The IP protection class 55 guarantees stability against dust and water jets. The multi-award-winning Sunmi design with rounded corners provides a modern look and facilitates hygiene.

Thanks to VESA drill holes, the display can be mounted vertically or horizontally. Cables disappear under a cover and the device can – if desired – be supplied with power directly via a network cable (Power over Ethernet, PoE). This eliminates the need for a separate, potentially error-prone power supply cable.

Solid hardware for versatile use

The Sunmi D2s KDS has a quad-core processor (Cortex A-55, 1.8 GHz), 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage space, expandable up to 1 TB via microSD card. The equipment is sufficient for smaller kiosk systems and can be used as a POS solution in conjunction with a receipt printer, ideally the Sunmi Cloud kitchen printer.

Easy integration into existing systems

With Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz/5 GHz), Bluetooth (2.1/3.0/4.0/4.2 BLE) and LAN connection, the connection to the network is set up quickly. Additional devices can be connected via four USB-A ports, a serial RJ11 port, which is intended for the cash drawer connection, and an audio mini-jack, which could be used to run the room sound system, for example.

Unique solution for the hospitality industry

“The Sunmi D2s KDS is a durable and robust niche product that stands for efficiency and cost reduction. Above all, however, it is suitable for everyday use: the KDS was developed in the first place in response to demand from many kitchens. As far as I know, there is no comparable product in this special application niche in the catering industry. Price and services

The Kitchen Display D2s KDS from Sunmi is now available from Value Added Distributor Concept International. The recommended retail price (net) is 520.00 euros. Special conditions are available for system integrators and resellers. The standard two-year warranty can optionally be extended to five years.
