Thanks to the mobile solution, workers can now control the equipment directly from their load vehicles and react flexibly to fill levels or technical processes. The smooth process means that the daily fertiliser application rate can be kept high. Farmers in the USA have only eight weeks to apply up to 500 tonnes of fertiliser per day.
Reliable Performance Even in the Toughest Conditions
The engineers chose the rugged tablets from DT Research’s 395 series. These differ from ordinary consumer tablets in their significantly increased resilience as well as in the intelligent solutions for working in difficult environments. After all, changing light conditions, vibrations from machines or accidental knocks and impacts in agriculture are part of everyday life.
The tablets are designed according to protection class IP65 and the military standard MIL STD 810G. They can therefore withstand drops from great heights, extreme cold and heat, as well as dust, moisture and vibrations. Furthermore, they are equipped with anti-reflective, as well as high-resolution HD touch screens that precisely display all elements of the control software.
