The proven Qbic TD-1070 panel downsizes the camera, the “Lite version” gets an Apple Wallet function via NFC and “Lite-S” becomes more affordable

Munich, November 6, 2024. Value-added distributor Concept International is expanding its diverse range of smart office displays for digital room management and smart time tracking. The new versions of the Qbic TD-1070 are an evolution of the high-quality multi-touch panel PC and respond to experience and market demands.

The use and management of cost-intensive conference and office space has become increasingly complex with remote work and flexible working models. In addition, according to the Federal Labor Court, employers are obliged to introduce a system that can record the total working hours worked by employees.

The 10.1-inch Qbic TD-1070 touch panel PC has been specially designed for digital room signage with room booking and management, as well as for quick and easy time tracking. This enables companies to easily implement modern workplace concepts. Qbic is responding to user demands with two new versions: The new “Lite” and “Lite-S” versions do not have a camera, which can be used for digital signage applications, for example, “in the New Work and clever management environment, but is not absolutely necessary,” says Marco Lippert, product manager at value-added distributor Concept International. “This frees up resources for new features,” says Lippert, “or you can reduce the price.”

Lite – can do more

Mobile phone-based time tracking is becoming increasingly important. A trend to which the manufacturer has responded: the Qbic TD-1070 Lite features an updated NFC reader that allows employees to log in conveniently via iPhone and Android smartphone in addition to an RFID tag.

Lite-S stands for “price-performance winner”

The Lite-S version is all about cost-effectiveness. It comes with all the key features for room booking, resource management and time tracking, but the top priority is a low unit price. At €825 (RRP), this version is almost €100 cheaper than the basic TD-1070 version. With its solid range of functions, it also replaces the older Qbic 1050 Pro, which is being discontinued.

Brilliant full HD touch display and high-performance interior in all Qbic TD-1070 models

The 10.1-inch full HD touch display (1920 x 1200 resolution) in all versions has a brightness of 430 cd/m² for good readability even in daylight and shadow. Two laterally integrated, individually programmable LED light strips in different colors show the current status of room occupancy at a glance when used as a room booking display. The Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) function enables installation with just one cable for both power and data. The optional fast WiFi 5 dual-band support improves range and reliability when needed.

Inside the Panel PCs, a high-performance ARM quad-core Cortex-A55 processor is at work. The Android 12 operating system ensures stable performance and high speed. The integrated watchdog also helps to quickly detect hardware or software malfunctions and, if necessary, automatically initiates a system reboot to ensure seamless operation.

For mounting, both VESA mounts and an adhesive are optionally available, which makes installations possible, for example, on concrete or wood, but above all, in a visually appealing way, on glass surfaces. A table stand is also available.

Android software stack at the enterprise level and diverse software ecosystem

Taiwanese manufacturer Qbic is known for its extremely secure, enterprise-level Android software stack. A comprehensive package of proprietary security features protects the system, data and access. The timely provision of Android operating system versions with seamless security patch updates is a matter of course.

For effortless implementation of efficient resource and room management and time tracking, companies also have access to an ecosystem of software partners such as Zeitwart, Tisoware and others when using Qbic hardware, offering specially developed software for room and workplace signage, booking, management and time tracking.

Price, availability and service for the Qbic TD-1070 models

The new Qbic versions TD-1070 Lite (940 Euro MSRP) and Lite-S (825 MSRP) are now available from Concept International, along with the standard version TD-1070 including camera (920,- Euro MSRP).

The warranty period is two years, with an optional five-year extension. If requested, VAD Concept International will also take on the roll-out and provide individual configurations and long-term testing for the PCs as part of its Total Preparation Service in a project-based approach. All features of the Zeitwart management software can be tested immediately – with a free demo license for the first display.
