With the Giada AF208, Munich-based value-added distributor Concept International offers a powerful embedded PC for a wide range of applications in the industrial and outdoor digital signage sectors. Giada, a proven manufacturer of cost-efficient PCs suitable for 24/7 digital signage for over 25 years, is now launching an industrial PC with an extended temperature range and digital inputs and outputs. This makes the high-performance, energy-efficient Giada AF208 ideal for automation projects in demanding industrial environments as well as for round-the-clock use for outdoor digital signage. Its fanless design makes it low-maintenance and durable. The embedded PC is now available from Concept International.
The Giada AF208 operates reliably even under extreme temperature fluctuations from minus 20°C to plus 60°C and has a wide voltage range from 12 V to 24 V. This makes the device suitable for a wide range of application scenarios. In industry, the embedded PC enables the monitoring of production lines, the control of machines and production facilities, and the implementation of automation projects. In the outdoor digital signage sector, the versatile computer can be used, for example, for bus stop displays, drive-through menus, digital billboards, and guidance systems.
Powerful, energy-efficient, and durable
Inside the Giada AF208 is Intel’s powerful Alder Lake-N processor N97 with quad-core 3.6 GHz and up to 16 GB RAM. The energy-efficient processor unit ensures optimal performance while consuming little energy – a decisive factor for 24-hour outdoor digital signage use and long operating times in industry.
Equipped with Intel UHD graphics, the embedded PC enables smooth, high-quality 4K media playback via HDMI 2.0 and DP1.2 outputs. Windows 11 (64-bit) and Linux Ubuntu (64-bit) are available as operating systems.
The fanless design of the device ensures quiet, energy-efficient operation and reduces maintenance requirements and the risk of mechanical failure due to dust and dirt deposits, as can occur with conventional fan-based systems.
Flexible connections and connectivity
The Giada AF208 offers flexible connectivity options with two COM ports for monitoring and controlling machines and screens, as well as a 10-pin GPIO interface for easy implementation of automation projects and connection of sensors (e.g., ultrasonic, temperature, motion) and actuators (e.g., relays, motors, LEDs).
Furthermore, two LAN network connections ensure security, especially in industrial environments, as they allow the intranet and internet to be separated from each other to reduce the risk of attacks and data leaks. For maximum connectivity, optional Wi-Fi is available, for example for wireless updates, as well as Bluetooth for easy connection of peripheral devices.
Like all Giada embedded computing products, the AF208 also features JAHC (JIEHE Active Hardware Control) for energy saving and remote monitoring, including automatic power-on, RTC wake-up, and watchdog timer.
With the optionally available mounting kit, the embedded PC can be easily attached to the desired location.
Availability and Total Preparation Service
The Giada AF208 is now available with W11 IoT and 120GB SSD as well as 8Gb RAM for €530.00 net via Concept International. Concept offers special conditions for resellers and system houses. The Munich-based VAD offers its Germany-wide on-site service within 48 hours on all Giada devices. On request, customers can receive the proven Total Preparation Service, which allows projects to be individually configured for each specific project, even for large quantities. The 3-year warranty with the option of extending to 5 years rounds off the service package.
