The two largest pixel pitches 3.91 and 4.81 mm of the FutureLED SQUARE Outdoor series are IP54/IP65 waterproof and available in high brightness up to 5,000 cd/m² brightness. This means that video walls of any size can be mounted outdoors in a grid dimension of 50 cm.
FCCC technology is used here, which is sealed by means of GOB. The latter enables particularly smooth and also resistant LED displays on the front side, which are thus easily washable, insensitive to dust, shock-resistant and UV-resistant.
The individual displays have an aspect ratio of 2:1 or 1:1, with a grid size of 50 x 50 cm. The four (2 x 2) or eight (4 x 2) LED tiles of each display are built into 67 mm-thick aluminum housings.
The special feature of this series: Thanks to its robustness, the SQUARE Outdoor series is also predestined for floor mounting. The displays can be walked on and offer both concave and convex design options.
Another big plus: Installation is cable-free, i.e. power, signal and LED modules are connected automatically by putting them together – saving time and errors. This means the modules can be quickly assembled into huge video walls without the need for time-consuming cable plugging.
Good to know: For our LED Walls of the FutureLED Square Outdoor series you can get optional warranty extensions and rental options including vandalism insurance.
Underlying technologies:
With ‘Flip Chip‘, the diodes are directly supplied with power from below. The previously necessary and visually restrictive wire connection on the top side is thus superfluous. With the second technology, ‘Common Cathode‘, the direction of the current is – simply put – also reversed: the individual RGB diodes no longer receive power from a single source at the end of the circuit, but are at the beginning of the power supply, each channel has its own regulated access to the current and is only then grounded. This reduces wasted power and allows for significant energy savings of up to 40 percent.
GOB stands for “Glue On Board,” a resin used to fill the gaps and create a flat surface in which the LED pixels are fully embedded. This protective layer effectively protects the image surface from mechanical damage, so it is shock resistant and also insensitive to dust.
