Displaying content on building facades or shop windows using large-format LED installations is usually expensive and laborious and reduces transparency. We have a revolutionary solution for this in our portfolio: the semi-transparent, flexible LED mats of the FutureLED MicroMESH series. They are light, wind-permeable, and unobtrusive, without sacrificing image quality.
Small, luminous LEDs are mounted on each grid point of a fine-mesh fiberglass grid. Supply lines are attached to the connecting wires. With different pixel pitches (between 3.5 mm, 3.91 mm, 5 mm, 6.25 mm, 7.82 mm, and 10 mm), transparency and image resolution can be flexibly adjusted. A larger pitch increases transparency, while a smaller pitch enhances resolution.
FutureLED’s MicroMESH series enables customized, modular LED installations. The extremely thin, lightweight mats (standard size 1.50 x 0.25 m and 1 to 3 mm thick, depending on the LED variant) can be installed around corners, on round surfaces or freely suspended. For larger areas, they are simply connected edge to edge with small metal clasps, so that height and width are infinitely scalable. Smaller formats can be individually cut to size.
Mounting on glass or other surfaces is done with a UV-curing spray adhesive that can be removed without residue by heating if necessary. This quick and easy installation minimizes logistics and costs.
With an output of up to 5,000 candela, they are highly visible even in sunlight and avoid the heat problems of conventional glass LEDs. They are particularly suitable for shop windows, shopping malls or creative installations in museums and offices.
But MicroMESH LED mats can also be used as a slim and invisible alternative to conventional home cinema systems. Mounted on a black wall, they fulfill the same requirements as conventional LED walls.
Good to know: you can get optional warranty extensions and rental options including vandalism insurance for our FutureLED MicroMESH series.
