Similar to all other AirServer models, the AS Windows OPS/SDM is the simple solution for wireless screen transmission. The licensed AirServer app enables users to wirelessly mirror screen content from up to eight devices simultaneously, including smartphones, tablets or laptops, to larger display devices such as televisions, projectors or interactive whiteboards. The “live streaming” function is also unique: what is currently being shown on the conference room display can be viewed live via any web browser anywhere in the local network.
The AS Windows OPS/SDM is a plug-in module that has been specially designed for integration into compatible displays, such as interactive whiteboards or large displays. Compared to the familiar AirServer Connect 2 (mini cube), the OPS/SDM version disappears completely into the conference room display or whiteboard and does not need to be connected separately via power and HDMI cables. This offers additional protection against theft, as it requires more effort to remove a module screwed into the display.
With AS Windows OPS/SDM, a Windows window can be streamed from the mobile device – this offers advantages for video telephony or dual use of the display as a Windows PC. However, it should be noted that higher hardware requirements are placed on the Windows PC. The slot-in PC therefore uses 11th generation Intel processors (Tiger Lake). Thanks to the powerful CPU and graphics performance, video sequences can also be played back smoothly in UHD and images can be displayed with a high level of detail. This slot-in PC is particularly suitable for digital whiteboards in the education sector or LFD displays. The OPS/SDM module controls monitors with a resolution of up to 8k with low power consumption.
The Windows version allows the parallel installation of Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet, Cisco Webex or any other video conferencing solution. This means that during a video conference (while using the existing video and audio system), the screen of a mobile device can be shown on the conference room display and shared with all conference participants from there.
