The Munich-based value-added distributor is showing Giada players with ChromeOS, electronic door signs, colored e-ink displays and semi-transparent, flexible LED walls at the ISE 2025 digital signage trade fair in Barcelona

Munich, January 15, 2025 – Concept International will be at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) in Barcelona from February 4 to 7, 2025, showcasing a range of cutting-edge hardware products. The Munich-based value-added distributor will be presenting the latest digital signage PCs by Giada, electronic doorplates by Qbic, colored e-ink displays by its own brand FutureLED, and semi-transparent, flexible LED modules called MicroMESH. Some of the Giada players on display have been equipped with the new Google operating system ChromeOS, to compete against Windows. Visitors will find Concept International at booth 4E500 in hall 4.

“Time to reconnect” is the motto of this year’s ISE, taking place in Barcelona from February 4 to 7. Mike Finckh, founder and managing director of Concept International, does not relate this motto to technology alone: ”We are looking forward to a meet and greet with old acquaintances and new contacts.” Finckh views the annual industry get-together in spring-like Barcelona as an important networking platform and technology indicator for the globally operating digital signage industry.

New mini-workhorse from Giada powers content creation and LED walls

Concept will be presenting itself at booth 4E500 in partnership with Giada, one of the most important digital signage player suppliers of the Munich-based VAD. Among the products on display will be the mini-workstation WA814 from Giada, which Concept is now launching on the German market. Concept is launching the PC with Nvidia T1000 graphics card. Also on board are powerful Intel Core i processors on 1700 LGA sockets, high-speed SSDs with SATA III interface and extremely fast M.2 slots. Giada is positioning the WA814 for high-end applications in the field of 2D and 3D content creation. Mike Finckh also sees the chic little powerhouse as a good solution for digital signage: “The WA814 is ideal for larger video walls – the high resolutions are displayed smoothly here.”

Digital signage player under ChromeOS: convincing performance in a live test at ISE 2025

Visitors to the joint Giada and Concept International stand will also be able to see the VM27 micro PC in action. Two of the computers will be running in parallel: one equipped with the Google operating system ChromeOS Flex, which has proven to be extremely efficient for DS applications, and a second running in direct comparison with the Windows 11 variant.

In a broad-based and, for the sake of comparability, browser-based performance test that Concept carried out in its in-house hardware laboratory in December 2024, ChromeOS consumed around 20 percent less energy than Windows, and at peak loads even up to 30 percent less. The Munich-based VAD thus confirmed the results that Google itself presented.

“Chrome OS offers unrivaled security and performance, it is continuously updated by Google with security patches without downtime and offers device management with remote maintenance. In addition, it is significantly more energy efficient than the Windows operating system,” says Mike Finckh, classifying the results. ‘With ChromeOS, Google will continue to take market share from Microsoft,’ Finckh continues.

Digital posters and door signs, bendable, transparent LED grids

Concept is presenting its new colored E-Ink displays called cPaper to those interested in displays. The digital posters can hardly be distinguished from printed images. The change of image is completed in ten seconds and even partial changes are possible. No power is required for the display except when changing images. The cPapers are initially available from Concept in 13.3 and 31.5 inch sizes. Larger formats will follow.

Also in the Concept trade fair portfolio: the innovative, semi-transparent LED walls made of permeable mesh netting called MicroMESH, which Concept is now launching on the German market. These flexible LED meshes, which are only one to three millimeters thick, are wind-permeable and light and easy to work with, as a banner or to stick on. They can be used to customize shop windows and even entire facades without obscuring the view inside.

The third member of the group is: clever and sustainable solutions for space and resource management as well as for signage in offices and public spaces. The Qbic ePaper door signs can be supplied with Zeitwart management software if required. For example, the mini terminal Qbic TD-0360 with a water-resistant LCD touch display, RFID and NFC, which, in addition to workplace organization, also handles legally compliant time tracking quickly and easily in line with the New Work concept.
