• Android 11 operating system
• 4K/UHD resolutions
• Versatile interfaces
• Available in two processor variants
• AI processor (NPU)

Munich, December 8, 2022 – Giada’s new Android-11-based DN76 micro PC serves demanding multi-screen applications in digital signage and industry. With a list price of 175 euros, it is not only more affordable than comparable systems, but also impresses with its exceptional performance thanks to the RK3568 quad-core ARM Cortex-A55 high-performance processor. The wallet-sized system streams 4K content smoothly to displays in retail stores, banks, government agencies or restaurants. Equipped with a wide range of interfaces, the micro PC is also suitable as a human-machine interface (HMI) PC in industrial manufacturing. The integrated AI processor (NPU) predestines the system for lighter machine learning applications. The DN76 is available now from Munich-based VAD Concept International.

With its compact, fanless design, dust-resistant metal housing and dimensions of 117 x 107 x 30 mm, at first glance the DN76 hardly differs externally from its predecessor, the DN73. By using the mature Android 11 operating system, the micro PC has unmatched stability and can access a wide range of dedicated apps.

High-quality streaming experiences on a wide range of online platforms

Inside the system works a powerful Rockchip RK3568 processor with 2 GB of RAM, which combines four CPU cores running at 2 GHz and a powerful GPU: a quad-core Cortex A55 as well as an ARM Mali-G52 graphics processor ensure images in brilliant colors that still display transitions and fast video sequences smoothly and clearly up to a resolution of 4K (4,096 x 2,160 pixels) at flicker-free 60 Hz. The CPU supports a variety of video compression algorithms (H.264/H.265/VP9), ensuring high-quality streaming experiences on a wide range of online platforms.

HMI and ML capable

Thanks to a wide range of interfaces, the Micro-PC is also suitable for applications that go beyond digital signage. As a human-machine interface (HMI) PC in the industrial sector, the DN76 supports, for example, the visually supported operation of machines where input signals need to be processed via COM port or USB. Due to the integrated AI processor (NPU – Neural Processing Unit) with a theoretical computing power of one trillion operations per second (1 TOPS), the DN76 is also used for simple machine learning applications. Giada’s JAHC technology ensures fail-safety. This hardware component, which is integrated in the BIOS, ramps up and down the PC at fixed times of the day and night.

Versatile connectivity

High-resolution multimedia content arrives via two HDMI ports (1x HDMI 1.4, 1x HDMI 2.0) on 2K/Full-HD and 4K/UHD displays with flicker-free 60 Hz. Two 2K/Full HD displays can also be played simultaneously. A serial port and an RJ45 interface are available for industrial applications. Data can be transferred to the mini PC via LAN. Thanks to the mini PCI Express socket for LTE cards and the SIM card slot, it is also possible to access cloud resources independently of a LAN connection. If the LAN connection is interrupted, for example, this allows an emergency scenario to be initiated that makes it possible to work independently of the company network.

The internal memory chip holds 32 GB or 64 GB eMMC.
