Munich, September 29, 2022 – Giada’s DM8 Booksize PC serves particularly demanding, high-resolution applications, including 4K video for large display walls, digital menu boards or aggregated multimedia content. Equipped with four HDMI outputs, it displays content or media on four full HD video walls at flicker-free 60Hz simultaneously, or serves up to three 4K displays such as low-motion digital menu boards. Graphics power is provided by an AMD Radeon Vega 8 GPU, which still offers crisp images even with fast frame changes. Thanks to the very thin booksize format (26 millimeters case thickness) and the small volume of 0.74 liters, the DM8 can be placed space-savingly behind flat screens, under ceiling panels and in pedestals. The integrated watchdog function ramps the PC up and down at fixed times of the day and day. The DM8 runs on Windows 10 and is available now from Munich-based value-added distributor Concept International with a very good price/graphics performance ratio.
Inside the booksize case (189.6 mm x 148.3 mm x 26 mm) made of shock-resistant metal, an AMD Ryzen5 3500U processor computes at a frequency of 3.70 GHz. The 4K resolution, supported by the powerful AMD Radeon Vega 8 GPU, ensures a brilliant, sharp and clear display of images and videos. Giada uses only AMD components in the DM series, offering buyers an alternative to Intel chips in case of supply shortages.
In addition to the four HDMI ports, the DM8 has other interfaces, including two USB 3.2 Gen1 and two USB 2.0 ports, a serial port, a SIM card slot and a mini PCIe slot for inserting a WLAN/Bluetooth or an LTE card. Either 2.5″ SATA or mSATA SSDs can be installed. Giada’s JAHC technology provides for fail-safety. This BIOS-integrated hardware component automatically reboots the media player, for example if the software hangs, and acts as an extended “watchdog” to ramp up and down the PC at fixed times of the day and night.

List prices and project-specific configurations
The DM8 with the AMD Ryzen5 3500U is available at a retail price of €660 net. Resellers, digital signage and AV system integrators receive attractive conditions. On request, Concept International supports the roll-out of projects with the Total Preparation Service: configured and endurance tested for specific projects, the Booksize PCs can also be deployed plug-and-play in large quantities.
