With the FutureNUC Flexbox, Concept International offers a particularly cost-effective mini PC from its own FutureNUC brand for use in education or as a ChromeOS player for digital signage and kiosk systems. The high-performance mini or micro PC offers unbeatable value for money, which is lower than current Chromeboxes, making it ideal for projects with a limited budget. The ChromeOS Flex operating system is not only energy-efficient, but also particularly secure, as apps are executed in a browser-based sandbox.

With the ultra-compact FutureNUC Flexbox, Concept International is launching a ChromeOS mini PC that is ideal for use wherever a cost-effective solution is required. Whether in education for use in schools or as an entry-level player for digital signage projects and kiosk systems for customer engagement and information provision in retail and corporate environments. In addition, the Flexbox is a low-cost Chromebox alternative and can therefore be used as a Google Workspace workstation. Integration with Google Enterprise offers centrally managed apps, an integrated remote and support system, and zero-touch rollout, which saves a significant amount of time when dealing with a large number of PCs. Thanks to its slim and compact design (108 x 106 x 23 mm) and an included VESA mount, the new mini PC can be easily mounted on the back of monitors.

Secure, energy-efficient, and reliable performance

Inside the mini PC, an Intel® N150 Twin Lake processor (4 cores / 3.6 GHz), 16 GB DDR5 RAM, 256 GB SSD storage, and integrated Intel HD graphics ensure excellent performance. Thanks to the innovative “read-only” ChromeOS Flex operating system, the FutureNUC Flexbox also runs every app securely in a browser-based sandbox and is ChromeOS Flex-certified, ensuring Google support and security updates until 2030. This makes the mini PC ideal as an office PC in schools and companies with increased security requirements, as well as perfect for playing digital signage content and as a panel PC in kiosk systems. The Flexbox is economical in terms of power consumption (TDP CPU: 6 W; complete PC system: 8-12 W) and noticeably fast in all applications.

Flexible connection options

Two USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, and two HDMI ports provide the necessary connection flexibility. The device also has a headphone and microphone jack. For the best connection, the mini PC offers a LAN port and integrated WLAN (Wi-Fi 6E) as well as Bluetooth for easy connection of peripheral devices. The small computer is powered by a 35W plug-in power supply.

Availability and price

The new FutureNUC Flexbox mini PC is available for a net list price of €269 via Amazon or www.future-nuc.com. System integrators and specialist retailers can purchase it at attractive trade conditions via Ingram Micro or directly from Concept International. Concept International offers a 3-year standard warranty on all products from its FutureNUC brand, which can be extended to 5 years, as well as the option of on-site service, pre-installation for rollouts, and a customer-oriented upgrade and problem-solving service that is available at any time.
