At the DMEA digital health trade fair in Berlin from April 21 to 23, we will be showcasing innovative, reliable, and rugged hardware designed to provide optimal support to emergency responders, doctors, and nursing teams as they care for patients. While the challenges facing the industry are enormous given the current global supply crisis affecting CPUs and memory, Nevertheless, at our booth (Hall 1.2, C-109), we will be showcasing a wide selection of the latest, high-performance medical hardware solutions, including all-in-one PCs with rechargeable batteries for cart use, medical tablets from DT Research, and the new slim, fully rugged Future FPE10MD-W tablet from our own brand, FuturePAD.

The new FuturePAD FPE10MD-W is one of the thinnest, lightest, yet most powerful and rugged fully rugged tablets on the market. This ultra-slim Windows tablet, measuring just 11.6 millimeters thick, was developed as the successor to the FPQ10 specifically for mobile data collection in harsh and demanding work environments in everyday hospital settings and emergency services. It is proven to be protected against dust, water jets, and drops from a height of up to 1.5 meters, is certified accordingly (IP66), and supports emergency responders quickly and reliably in data collection—even in the hustle and bustle of the emergency room and during emergency operations in pouring rain. In addition, the fully rugged tablet is also EN18031 and EN60601-1-2 certified, thereby meeting the latest cybersecurity requirements and the increased standards regarding electromagnetic radiation emissions. Weighing just 800 grams, the FPE10MD-W guarantees handling as user-friendly as a consumer tablet and is flexibly configurable.

New in AIO PCs: the DT514 series

Medical hardware specialist DT Research has a number of new products that Concept International is also showcasing in Berlin, including the DT514 series for use in inpatient clinical settings, medical centers, and doctors’ offices. For example, Concept is showcasing the brand-new DT514 LA: a completely maintenance-free all-in-one desktop PC featuring the new Intel Core Ultra processors (Series II), which combines a 24-inch TFT LCD display in a fanless, highly impact-resistant ABS housing and offers a space-saving and robust solution for monitoring, recording, and retrieving patient information, as well as for other point-of-care situations. The DT514 all-in-one PCs run on Windows 11 or, for applications with increased security requirements, on IGEL OS.

DT574 Series: Ideal Workstations for Mobile Use

Although the DT574 series of medical all-in-one workstations are not yet available on the market, they will be released as the “little sisters” of the DT584—equipped with just two batteries—as entry-level models for more cost-effective configurations, making them ideal for mobile use in hospitals: They will be lighter and run on smaller Intel CPUs instead of the Intel ULTRA Series II—which remains reserved for the DT584 with three batteries. Concept is bringing a DT574 sample to Berlin featuring a 23.8-inch Full HD touchscreen, a fanless and antimicrobial chassis, and numerous expansion options.

DT323PA-MD: the high-performance all-rounder among medical tablets

We’re also showcasing a cross-section of DT Research’s entire range of medical tablets, including the PA series, with the DT323PA-MD as one of the highlights: a high-performance all-rounder featuring an extra-bright 13.3-inch display, whose batteries can be swapped out while the device is running, enabling continuous 24/7 operation. The slim, drop-resistant, and antimicrobial-coated rugged tablet runs on Windows 11 and features the latest high-performance Intel Core Ultra 5 or Intel Core Ultra 7 processors. With the option of a docking keyboard, the DT323PA-MD transforms into a fully-fledged and stable laptop with a keyboard. The IP65-certified tablet also features WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, a 13MP rear camera, and optional barcode scanners and RFID readers.

The medical PC specialists at Concept International will be at DMEA in Berlin from April 21 to 23 with their own booth in Hall 1.2, Booth C-109.
