Giada is expanding its portfolio of industrial embedded solutions with the new IB2-281 and IB3-281 motherboards. The two models compete with the market leaders in control cabinets, human-machine interfaces, and machine controls with their quality, stability, and low price, without losing sight of their roots in the digital signage world. They are specifically aimed at OEMs and system integrators who need compact, energy-efficient yet powerful components for demanding applications in industry, logistics, medical technology, and digital signage. The motherboards are now available in various form factors from VAD Concept International.

As the heart of any industrial solution, the new Giada motherboards offer maximum computing power in a minimum of space. They score points with their high reliability, flexible connection options, and excellent price-performance ratio—especially when compared to established brand names. “In the digital signage world, Giada has been known for years as a strong brand and reliable player—in industry, however, we are still an insider tip. IB2-281: Ultra-compact powerhouse in 2.5-inch format

The IB2-281 is the smallest motherboard in the Giada portfolio – at 100 x 72 mm, it is barely larger than a cigarette packet. Designed for use in confined spaces such as mobile robots or compact control units, it offers excellent performance in a minimal amount of space.

Equipped with an Intel N100 processor (4 efficiency cores, 6 watts TDP), the board combines high energy efficiency with solid computing power. Performance and high stability even in continuous operation make the IB2-281 the ideal solution for industrial applications, even under harsh conditions.

IB3-281: Value for money in a 3.5-inch format

The IB3-281 is also based on the Intel Alder Lake-N platform and is equipped with the latest Intel N97 processor (4 cores, 4 threads, 12 watts TDP). It offers powerful performance at a compact 146 x 102 mm while keeping operating costs low – perfect for applications in automation, medical technology, or industrial IoT. The board also has an extended temperature range of -20 to +60 °C and 24/7 capabilities. It also supports a flexible voltage range of 12 to 24 volts.

Both boards can control multiple displays and have numerous interfaces. Low-voltage differential signaling, i.e., an LVDS connection for reliable, voltage-stable data transmission at high speed, is available. This is particularly beneficial for kiosk configurations and other panel PC applications.

Intel also guarantees long-term availability for Alder Lake-N products for at least seven years, which particularly meets the industry’s requirements for long-term planning and expansion.

The right solution for every scenario

Whether in control cabinets, HMI (human-machine interface) or machine control systems, but also for kiosk systems, terminals, and steles: The new Giada motherboards offer high flexibility for rapid integration. They are available in different form factors and support Windows 11 and Linux Ubuntu.

Price and availability

Giada’s IB2-281 and IB3-281 industrial motherboards are now available from value-added distributor Concept International at a net list price starting at €160 (recommended retail price). Special conditions are available for resellers and system houses on request. Concept International also supports the rollout of projects with its Total Preparation Service: project-specific, fully configured and endurance-tested devices, even in large quantities. Concept International also offers a Germany-wide on-site service for all Giada devices in its range.
