New FutureSIGN-Z10 Android display solution enables smart room and access management, digital working time recording and use as an information and goods booking terminal

Munich, June 04, 2024 – With the FutureSIGN-Z10, Munich-based value-added distributor Concept International is offering a new, modular touch panel PC from its diverse range of display solutions for digital room signage and time recording. The FutureSIGN Android panel PC has three modules for RFID (NFC) reader, LED status display and 2D barcode scanner, which can be installed depending on the area of application. This makes it ideal for smart room and access management, legally compliant working time recording and as an info terminal for checking the price and availability of goods in retail or for booking goods in logistics. The device is available immediately.

The management of conference rooms and offices has become increasingly complex due to trends such as remote working and flexible working models. Due to the decision of the Federal Labor Court in September 2022, employers are also obliged to introduce a system that can be used to record all working hours worked by employees.

The new 10.1-inch FutureSIGN-Z10 panel PC supports companies with these challenges. The panel PC is ideal for effortless implementation of efficient room management and time recording methods in combination with software solutions from providers such as Zeitwart and enables smart booking and management of rooms and workstations thanks to the modular RFID (NFC) reader. This allows users to log in and out conveniently and contactlessly using an RFID tag or smartphone. The programmable LED light strip module offers an individually selectable color status display for digital room signage. The panel PC can also be used to implement reliable access control thanks to the GPIO interface for automatic door opening.

Thanks to the optional 2D barcode scanner module, the computer can be used as a customer information terminal for checking the price and availability of goods or as a self-service kiosk system for orders in the retail sector. In logistics, the device offers convenient goods booking on receipt or removal in the warehouse.

For maximum flexibility, the modules can be attached to three pogo pin slots on the left, right and on the underside of the device as required and depending on the space available. If the intended use changes or expands, the modules can also be easily retrofitted and repositioned.

The panel PC runs on Android 12 for stable performance and high speed. The 10.1-inch touch display (1280 x 800 resolution) with a brightness of 500 candela offers intuitive operation. A powerful ARM quad-core processor, 4 GB RAM and a choice of 16 or 32 GB memory are at work inside.

Integrated WLAN, Bluetooth and a LAN connection ensure optimum connectivity. The Panel PC is supplied with power either via Power Over Ethernet (POE) or a 12-volt adapter. Two speakers (2 watts) for playing media content as well as a USB, micro USB and mini HDMI connection are also integrated. The panel PC is VESA-compatible (75x75mm) for secure mounting in the desired location.

Price and availability

The new FutureSIGN-Z10 is available immediately from Concept International. The list price starts at 380 euros net (recommended retail price).

Concept International’s service includes a 2-year warranty, which can optionally be extended to 5 years. On request, the value-added distributor can also take over the roll-out of projects as part of its Total Preparation Service and offers project-specific configurations and an endurance test of the PCs.
