The High Brightness version of the FutureLED Eco series ensures perfect recognizability in sunlight with 5,000 cd/m² compared to the standard brightness of 1,500 cd/m². These LED walls are generally installed in shop window areas (“Shine-Out-Displays”). Here, the LED modules are housed in 38 mm aluminum enclosures, which can be quickly installed to form huge video walls without the need for time-consuming cable plugging. Resolutions with 1.25 to 2.5 mm pixel pitch are possible. Particularly noteworthy is the cable-free installation: power, signal and LED modules are connected automatically by putting them together – saving time and errors. This way, the modules can be quickly assembled into huge video walls without time-consuming cable plugging.
Technically, FutureLED’s new Eco series represents what is feasible in the LED video wall sector: Flip Chip Common Cathode LEDs using the COB process are particularly economical, bright and mechanically insensitive.
How is this possible? With ‘Flip Chip‘, the diodes are directly supplied with power from below. The previously necessary and optically restrictive wire connection on the top side is thus superfluous. With the second technology, ‘Common Cathode‘, the direction of the current is – simply put – also reversed: the individual RGB diodes no longer receive power from a single source at the end of the circuit, but are at the beginning of the power supply, each channel has its own regulated access to the current and is only then grounded. This reduces stray losses and allows for a remarkable energy savings of 20-30 percent.
