With the new Giada AF708, Concept International offers a powerful, rugged, and energy-efficient industrial Android PC with strong edge AI performance for vision and analytics applications. The combination of a high-performance Rockchip RK3576 processor, NPU computing power of up to 6 TOPs, four COM ports, a DIO interface, and a 12V power supply makes the Giada AF708 a true edge device for harsh, connected, and automated environments, video analytics, logistics, smart city applications, and outdoor infrastructure.
The Giada AF708 operates fanlessly within a temperature range of 0 to 60°C, enabling reliable, long-lasting 24/7 operation in harsh and demanding industrial and outdoor environments. With its 12V power supply, the embedded PC is compatible with many vehicles and can also be integrated into control cabinets and machines using an AC-DC or DC power supply. This makes the Giada AF708 ideal for a wide range of applications, including industrial automation, process control, and outdoor systems in the fields of transportation and energy.
In manufacturing, for example, the AF708 can be used for AI-based visual quality control; in logistics, for monitoring conveyor belts or tracking packages. In the smart city sector, the AF708 is suitable for traffic counting, parking space monitoring, or intelligent control of street lighting; in the energy sector, it serves as a monitoring device for PV systems and wind farms. Since its NPU performance enables the use of local AI models for GDPR-compliant data processing without relying on the cloud, this high-performance Giada PC can also be used in the retail sector to measure customer traffic via camera or to support fraud detection at self-checkout registers through AI-assisted product recognition.
Powerful internals and extensive industrial I/O ports
Inside the compact Android player (162 x 130 x 60 mm) is a powerful, energy-efficient Rockchip RK3576 processor that integrates a quad-core Cortex-A72 and a quad-core Cortex-A53. The NPU delivers up to 6 TOPs of computing power. In addition, the AF708 features 4 GB of RAM (onboard LPDDR4x) and 64 GB of eMMC storage. It runs Android 14 (optionally Debian 12), and the Android ecosystem enables rapid app integration.
The Giada AF708 was designed as a true embedded control hub and offers a wide range of ready-to-use industrial I/O interfaces, including four COM ports (2 x RS232, 2 x RS485), two 4-pin CAN connectors, and eight bidirectional GPIOs, which enable easy integration into complex systems. The DIO interface supports the transmission of trigger signals for sensors and actuators, as well as, for example, machine control, the control of gates or barriers, and alarm triggers.
Even more flexible connectivity is provided by two LAN ports (1GbE RJ45), Wi-Fi for wireless connectivity, Bluetooth for peripheral devices, a total of five USB ports (1x USB 3.2 Gen1, 1x USB 3.2 Gen1, 2x USB 2.0, 1x USB Type-C 3.2 Gen1), as well as an HDMI 2.0 port for connecting a display with 4K resolution (max. 4096 x 2160 @60Hz).
Availability and Total Preparation Service
The Giada AF708 is now available from Concept International starting at 375 euros (net). Concept offers special terms for resellers and system integrators, as well as a fixed price and delivery guarantee for long-term projects through its new Pricelock service. Concept International offers an optional Germany-wide on-site service within 48 hours for all Giada devices. System integrators typically receive the proven Total Preparation Service free of charge, which ensures that PCs are configured individually and project-specifically—for example, with pre-installed software—even for large quantities. The 3-year warranty, with the option to extend to 5 years, rounds out the service package.
