In the Mini PC family, the Mini PC 215 stands for reliable Internet access and secured application platforms. The Mini PC 215 unites the characteristics of all Mini PC, such as small size and fan-less, noise-less operation, with increased performance. The x86-based, power saving VIA C7 processor operating at 1.5 GHz consumes very little energy with its 15 watts. The power savings pays for itself over a very short time frame in comparison with the consumption of a standard PC. The construction approach, without a fan, and the low power consumption make it possible to mount a Mini PC 215 in an unventilated rack.
A sturdy metal case with aluminum cooling fins and numerous connections recommend it in particular for the rigorous industrial environment. It comes configured with Windows XP Embedded or Windows XP Professional and can be remotely controlled over a LAN  (XP & BIOS updates, LAN-based booting, recovery, on & off, etc). The serial and parallel ports can be added by plugging in USB adapters. Network connection over WLAN is possible with an optional, internal module.
A 2.5“ hard disk serves as storage medium for Mini PC’s with XP Professional. Mini PCs with XP Embedded work with industrial FlashROM memory and no moving parts.
An optional, VESA-compliant mount cradle is available for mounting on displays or wall mountings.
